OCTOBER 7-14, 2025
ANCIENT WONDERS OF PERU
An All-Inclusive, Guided Lake Titicaca Adventure
October 7-14, 2025 we are returning to the Motherland of Peru! This is our fifth spiritual pilgrimage to this sacred, healing land as we visit Lake Titicaca - The Birthplace of the Sun. Immerse yourself in this transformative all-inclusive 8-Day and 7-Night All-Inclusive cultural and spiritual adventure of unrivaled beauty!
Together we meet in the magnificent Andes Mountains! Lake Titicaca straddles the border between Peru to the west and Bolivia to the east, and at 12,500 feet, Lake Titicaca is the highest lake in the world, a power place for cosmic wisdom . The Inkas believed that Lake Titicaca was the place the world began, when the god Viracocha came out of the lake and created the sun, the stars, and the first people. The lake is strikingly beautiful with its glistening cobalt blue waters surrounded by sun-drenched, fertile valleys. Lake Titicaca is home to the indigenous Uros people with traditional Aymaran villages and farms, where the way of life has remained unchanged for hundreds of years.
Lake Titicaca is seen as a cosmic portal, whose depths and surrounding areas are ancient places of legends and mystery. We are honored to travel with our friend and guide Don Jorge Luis Delgado, esteemed Peruvian spiritual guide and healer, author, and international teacher. His wisdom will open portals of possibility within our minds and hearts. We will speak about the Children of the Light, the foundation of Peruvian wisdom, as well as share his knowledge of the Star People and of their connections to the places we will visit.
YOUR GUIDES
Don Jorge Luis Delgado, is a Peruvian Mystic, spiritual teacher, author, and founder of Kontiki Tour Company. Don Jorge is a Keeper of the Knowledge of the Inkas, and in Quechua, he is a Chacaruna, a ‘bridge person’, who assists others to move from one state of consciousness to another. Born to an Aymara healer, he received his early training from the Kallawaya shamans of Lake Titicaca, the Wise Ones of the Andes, and from the Q’ero elders who are the last tribal Inca descendants. Author of many books, he is featured as an expert in documentaries, and travels internationally to teach. Don Jorge assists in healing for all who are ready, and freely shares his wisdom with the world to support the dream that it is time for humanity to awaken and live fully in love, peace and oneness.
Lily and Michael Kessler, have led spiritual/cultural tours since 2015 to India, Costa Rica, and Spain, and are thrilled to return to Peru! They believe becoming immersed in a new culture opens you to inner and outer growth, which is a key to heart-expansion and bringing out the best in all people. This Peruvian tour is their favorite experience, not only for the magnificent wonders and sites, but these places truly come alive due to Don Jorge’s invitation to connect to Pachamama, or World Mother. They have opened two yoga studios in Indiana, and host two Yoga Alliance Certified schools. Lily is an author, and teaches Yoga History & Philosophy at Butler University, and Michael is a leading expert in the Energy Utility Industry. They share what brings joy to their hearts.
EXPERIENCE THE WONDER
8-Days & 7-Nights at Lake Titicaca
Day 1, October 7 - Welcome to Peru! - You said YES! What a celebration it is to have you home to the Motherland of Peru. Wonderful things await! Prior to landing, you will have already solidified clear details on how you will be transferred to Hotel Taypikala Lago… waiting for you on the shores of magnificent Lake Titicaca. This day is reserved for you to relax, acclimate to the altitude, and explore the magnificent grounds and labyrinth. Excitement abounds, and we’ll enjoy an informal reception at the hotel where we’ll meet our serendipitous group of fellow travelers, followed by a Welcome Ceremony and a special dinner. We stay at Hotel Taypikala Lago. Dinner is included.
Day 2, October 8 - Inka Uyo Temple of Fertility and Peru’s National Cultural Heritage Site of Inka Tunuwiri - After witnessing the sunrise over Lake Titicaca, while perhaps walking the labyrinth, you will enjoy breakfast and get ready to renew your physical and spiritual energy! The first site we explore is the Temple of Fertility. The temple is believed to have been built by the Inkas in the pre-Columbian era as a sacred place for fertility rituals and worship of Mother Earth. It's covered in stone phalluses, some of which are up to five feet long, and are surrounded by a finely carved stone wall. The temple is also thought to have been a place where the Inkas worshipped to ensure a prosperous harvest. You will learn legends and customs of the temple. After a relaxing and delicious farm-to-table lunch, we head to Inka Tunuwiri, Puno’s mystical and spiritual ceremonial site. Inka Tunuwiri was declared a National Cultural Heritage of Peru by the National Institute of Culture. This place is sacred and is of high spiritual significance to locals, who give offerings to Pachamama (Mother Earth or World Mother) as a sign of gratitude. Don Jorge will share his knowledge and relationship with Inka Tunuwiri, therefore introducing us into experiencing the harmony of the land. According to Inka legend, Pachamama is an ever-present and independent deity who controls fertility, health, prosperity, and presides over planting and harvesting. The site is surrounded by terraces, sandstone walls, and monolithic stone blocks carved in human form. We will experience ceremony. We stay at Hotel Taypikala Lago. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 3, October 9 - Uros Floating Islands and Taquile Island - Today is the beginning of the honored pilgrimage into the island energy within the Lake. Very few people in the world will experience this opportunity, especially with Don Jorge as a guide, who grew up and still lives here. Lake Titicaca is pure Lifeforce. We begin through the experience of the Floating Islands of the Uros, a site that is not to be missed at Lake Titicaca! The Floating Islands are a set of approximately 80 islands built of totora, an aquatic plant that grows on the surface of Lake Titicaca. These islands are manmade and are constructed totally from the totora reeds. These special reeds provide home, sustenance, and transportation for their residents. The people who live and work on the islands are the Uros Tribe, from a pre-Inkan lineage. According to legends, the Uros existed before the sun. They became the Uro-Aymaras, and now speak Aymara. Because of their simple lifestyle, and deep connection to Lake Titicaca, the Inkas paid little mind to this group of people. The Uros, with their basic reed homes, outlasted the mighty Inkas! Together, we will learn how people live on these islands, and we will also sail on their reed boats, marveling at ingenuity surrounded by incredible sites! Afterward, we begin our waterborne exploration to the glorious Quechuan Taquile Island as we glide on a boat across the sparkling blue water and azure skies to the 4th largest island in Lake Titicaca! Taquile Island is considered deeply sacred. The island is 13,287 feet in elevation, surrounded by water nearly 1,000 feet deep. We get to move slower and be here now. Taquile Island is considered the power place for ancestral rituals and ceremonies, as it is like a rod attracting energy that stems from the bedrock of the sacred lake, piercing into the starry cosmos. Guided ceremony combined with the island’s astonishing beauty, this experience will reset our systems and tune us into the wonders and mysteries of magnificent Lake Titicaca and beyond! We stay in the houses of the Taquile Islanders. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 4, October 10 – Spiritual Work on Taquile Island On this new day we awake, ready to be captivated by more magic and Andean mysticism that Taquile Island offfers. Here, every corner is a source of energy, and every single moment is an opportunity to learn wisdom from Quechuan locals. However, Taquile Island is also a very quiet, yet unforgettable place, with awe-inspiring views. Taquileños are known for their fine handwoven textiles and clothing, which are regarded as among the highest-quality handicrafts in Peru. Knitting is exclusively performed by males, beginning in early boyhood. Women spin wool and use vegetables and minerals to dye the wool to be used by the community. Women are also the weavers of the Chumpis, the wide belts with woven designs worn by everyone in the community of Taquile. As per tradition, we stay in the adobe community homes of the islanders. This offers us a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a personal connection with islander hospitality, plus the unforgettable chance to watch the sunset and then stargaze into the heavens from the middle of the high-altitude lake! In this exquisite setting, we tune into the blessings of Lake Titicaca and allow her wisdom to hold us. Don Jorge will guide us in exploration of the island and temples with Inka ceremony within the day, and we’ll have a restful evening. The brilliance of the starry cosmos opens wide, as you wrap yourself in blankets to and gaze upward in humble wonder at the very radiant and present night sky. We stay in the houses of the Taquile Islanders. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 5, October 11 - Return from Taquile Island and Pre-Inka Crop Circles - Experience the golden sun rising over Taquile Island, and the feeling of the cleanest air in your body. This morning, we say farewell to this beloved island gem of Lake Titicaca and set off once again to cruise across the sacred waters toward Puno, onto another adventure! After a delicious lunch surrounded by the beauty of the Andes Mountains we experience a marvel of engineering, the Pre-Inka Crop Circles. They are from an ancient agricultural process called Waru Waru (in Quechua). Channels of water were dug around three sides of a land mass upon which crops were grown. These Waru Warus were built to capture both the sun’s rays and the water of the lake to keep the plants warm and irrigated. With higher philosophical perspectives, we can see this sacred geometry as the Eye of the Mother. This ‘eye’ is seen to both receive and give healing Rays of Cosmic Light. We then rest and integrate at the hotel, before a nourishing dinner. We stay at Hotel Taypikala Lago. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 6, October 12 - Inka Camaña and Aramu Muru Portal - We welcome a wonderful new day with great excitement and reverence. After a good breakfast, we venture to other off-the-beaten-path places! We begin the adventure at The Altars of Light of Inka Camaña. This is the place where the Inkas celebrate both the Light and the Sacred Lake. Altars face the east, and the rising sun’s rays reflect this brilliance onto the altars. We then experience the Aramu Muru Portal, also known as Alayu Marka or Willka Uta, which is the house of the ancient Spirits and Masters. Aramu Muru is considered the dimensional doorway of the Ancient Ones! After paying tribute to the Puma and walking along the great Serpent’s back, we make our way to the Condor at the Aramu Muru Doorway. This gateway was not known for many years until Don Jorge saw it in a dream. He went to his elders who told him he had a sacred responsibility to re-discover this place - and so he did! We have a special ceremony to help us connect with vortex energy, and venture through the portal to other dimensions and worlds. The magnificent landscape and the pulsing energies of the land will make this an experience of a lifetime! We stay at Hotel Taypikala Lago. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 7, October 13 - Sillustani - On our final full day of adventure together, step into a realm of timeless beauty and ancient wonders as we explore awe-inspiring Sillustani set against a backdrop of the Umayo Lagoon! There are many stories of ancient aliens at Sillustani, and our expert, Jorge, will share them with us! Sillustani is ultimately known for its ancient funeral towers of the Inka and pre-Inka civilizations, known as chullpas. Chullpas stand as silent sentinels of history, where every stone whispers tales of a bygone era and countless lives that came before us, leaving an indelible mark on the soul. These impressive structures truly are a testament to the ancient cultures that once thrived in this region. Sillustani is also a place of great telluric force in connection with the cosmic spiral. In Sillustani we will learn to better understand the principles of life and the soul’s evolution - and everlasting continuation. Together, connect with the energy of the sun to be recognized as Children of the Sun. After we return and rest, we will have a Farewell Ceremony followed by a special dinner. We stay at Hotel Taypikala Lago. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Day 8, October 14 - Travel Home - Take your time to pack and say your personal goodbyes to this sacred place that has reawakened you to life in its purest natural form! After breakfast, we will be taken as a group to the Juliaca Airport to fly to Lima and then home… or on to your next destination! Breakfast is included.
NOTE: Please know that this journey is ultimately yours. You may choose to rest, catch your breath and relax on any day. Enjoy the ceremonial grounds around the hotel, indulge in the pool and spa treatments, receive healings from local shamans, or simply sit and reflect as you admire the grandeurs of Lake Titicaca!

What are the age ranges that typically join?
We have traveled with people 18-84 years old, all on the same trip, too! Average age range is 35-70+.
How much hiking is involved?
5 miles - or less - a day is the average amount we walk. Each day starts early with a tour directly after breakfast, and we will be touring until the later afternoon. You can skip tours and spend time enjoying the hotel grounds. Every day offers magical opportunities to see sites unlike anything on the planet. We will hike everyday on well-traveled trails that people have been using for hundreds of years. Many people have found walking sticks to be helpful (they must have tips on the ends), and sneakers are acceptable.
Has anyone experienced difficulties with high elevation?
Before you acclimate, you may initially feel the higher elevation through shortness of breath, lightheadedness, and fatigue. Larger symptoms include upset stomach, nausea, or loss of appetite. NOTE: acute illness has NOT been an issue for any traveler on any of our tours. Slowing down is a focus, and ample hydration is the main way to alleviate altitude sickness. Local teas and other remedies are also readily available that will help address possible symptoms. We recommend you bring your own hydration/electrolyte booster supplements.
Due to high elevation, is there oxygen support?
An oxygen tank will be on our bus at all times, and at the hotel. A tank is only available for an acute and extreme health emergency situation. If you would like oxygen as a part of your rest at the hotel, there will be an additional, individual charge.
How much yoga is involved?
The entire trip is a yoga practice! We will be moving our bodies a lot while touring. Jorge will lead us through meditations, ceremonies, and rituals in each location we visit, to tune us into the energetic vibrations of the land. Yoga will be offered by Lily and Michael, but a class will be an organic experience depending on the energetic levels of the group and the day’s schedule, and any offering is voluntary. Often fellow travelers have offered to teach impromptu classes!
Does the day begin early?
Most days will have an early morning wake-up in the most beautiful scenery imaginable, as Jorge requests we leave by 8:30-9:00am at the latest.
